One Achord hopes to build a legacy of shining God’s light in a myriad of ways for His glory. Here are some of our charitable partners from previous concert seasons:
Child Cancer Fund
This year, nearly 100 families in the Jacksonville area will receive the news that their child has cancer. For the past 23 years the Child Cancer Fund has walked side by side with these families, providing support every step of the way. The Child Cancer Fund exists to decrease the anxiety and fear of a child facing needle sticks, IV poles, and chemotherapy transfusions; ease the financial burdens of families juggling work and caring for their sick child; provide information and educational resources to help families manage the challenges and life changes; offer a setting for families to escape the rigors of treatment, enjoy life as a family, and meet others facing similar circumstances at a family retreat weekend.
Our programs and services are completely dependent upon the contributions of charitable foundations, corporations, service organizations, and individuals like you. You can make a meaningful difference in the lives of these children and their families. For more information about Child Cancer Fund, visit them at www.childcancerfund.org.
Florida Bible Camp
Florida Bible Camp provides summer camping for young people of ages eight to eighteen in 200 beautifully-wooded acres near the Santa Fe River. Florida Bible Camp aims to provide youth an opportunity to learn and grow with people who love the Lord and are living daily for Him, as well as a place to make new friends and have lots of fun! Florida Bible Camp’s facilities host year-round events, including retreats, family reunions, athletic camps, and more. The Women’s Board of Wolfson Children’s Hospital
The almost 400 volunteer members of The Women’s Board are passionate about Wolfson Children’s Hospital and the precious little lives it serves. They are advocates for this very special hospital, the only children’s hospital between Orlando and Atlanta, serving an ever increasing geographic region. A private hospital, Wolfson never turns any child away, regardless of ability to pay. Wolfson therefore depends heavily upon the donations of Jacksonville’s generous community. The Women’s Board raises more than $1 million a year for Wolfson, and has given more than $26 million since its inception. Wolfson Children’s Hospital is part of Baptist Health System, which continues the healing ministry of Christ.
